Our season started in June, but with the lack of weekend surf, lack of any hurricane swells we could not pull off a contest this Summer. But, winter has finally arrived! We should be in for some good cold fronts. We are hoping to put on at least two contest before Christmas.

Our first contest of the season will be at Venice South Jetty. First weekend when it looks like we have a 9hr window of surf, we'll have it here on gulfster.com as well as the forum along with the local surfshops with a waveline. We will usually call the contest by Wednesday or Thurday.

You do need to be an ESA member to surf in the contest, so do that online NOW!! www.surfesa.org

Entry fees: Pre Register now and save $$....$15 for first division and $5 for second division
(for instance if you were a 15 year old male you could surf Jr Mens and Open for only $20!)
Beach entry: $20 for first division and $10 for second division.

-ESA is the largest surfing organization in the world..To put that in perspective ESA New Jersey District alone has more members than the entire NSSA organization. Thats just 1 district. We have 27 districts.
